DEMAND FOR MORE LANDLORDS

The residential lettings market has experienced huge market surges in recent times and particularly over the past year as many would-be buyers were forced to turn to the rental market rather than buy.  This boosted the already growing demand for quality rental property and has led to a dramatic shortfall in stock, according to Stephanie Caine who heads the Lettings department at Royston & Lund in West Bridgford.   She says, “Demand over the festive period and from day one of the New Year has seen applicant numbers soar compared with the same period last year and, despite this being a traditionally quiet period, all available viewing slots were snapped up. Although this means starting the year ahead of the game with a very positive outlook, it also means a shortage of stock to meet the burgeoning demand for all types of accommodation.  Hot on the wish list for many is anything remotely central for West Bridgford and its excellent facilities.  However, there is also a strong appetite for larger quality property in more rural areas.   The company has an enviable track record of success and covers a broad area for property rental in terms of both location and price with applicants looking for a range of property from one-bedroom flats to five bedroom houses.
